Orange Curriculum

As a parent, you will have approximately 3000 hours with your child in the next year. If you attend church regularly, LIFER Kids will have approximately 40 hours with your child. We believe we can combine our efforts and potentially make a greater impact and have a greater influence in the lives of your kids than if we worked alone. Our curriculum is based around helping parents disciple their kids. It is called Orange — when you combine yellow (the light of the church) with red (the unconditional love of the family), you get orange. We provide parent cues each week (see below) to help you in developing a rhythm of talking with your children about the Lord throughout everyday activities. We want to journey with you as you parent your child — celebrating with you in the victories, and seeking God with you in the trials.

Visit the Parent Cue Blog and Studio 252 for resources from Orange that will help you make the most of the time you have with your kids.

Child Dedication Celebration

Bringing a new life into your family is a big deal. It is a beautiful moment to reflect on the things in life that matter most. It is also a moment where the weight of responsibility that comes with parenting is significant. Raising children is one of life’s greatest joys and greatest challenges. It requires intentionality and community. As your Real Life family, we want to partner with you as you journey with God and your own family. Our child dedication celebration is where we invite you to envision what the future of your child could look like and to think intentionally about your role in their life. It is an opportunity to come together with the witnesses of family and friends and commit to dedicating your child to the Lord and all that will require of you.

If you are interested in embarking on this journey with us, welcome. The first step is to register online. Below you will find all the information you need about this special event, as well as homework resources. Please read the “Parenting Talk Homework Overview” to help you get started. Also below is a link to the invitation. We encourage you to fill this out and send it to friends and family, inviting them to the celebration event. We also strongly encourage you to attend the parent orientation before the dedication. (Check the LIFER Kids Calendar for upcoming event dates.) If you have any questions about this process, please do not hesitate to contact Laura Uhlenkott for the Moscow celebration or Alex Little for the Pullman celebration. Thank you for allowing us to be part of this very special moment in your family’s story.
